Treatment
Many tools are available to help you meet the recommendations made by NICE and the clinical consensus statements
Local urology MDT
Using the skills and perspectives of different HCPs ensures each patient receives joined-up care. The MDT should include:[1]
Pathways for directing patients to other specialists and resources
Specialist nurses and other resources, such as TrueNTH, can help men understand the consequences of different treatment options to aid them in making decisions about their care.
Holistic needs assessment (HNA)
HNA guides, such as Macmillan’s HNA Care and Support Planning,[2] can help to tailor the support provided to meet
patient needs.
Prostate Cancer UK publications
Prostate Cancer UK has published factsheets to help men understand their diagnosis, what happens next, and what to expect from active surveillance.[3][4]
