Consultant Urologist, Royal United Hospitals Bath

Lucy Simmons is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at The Royal United Hospital in Bath, having graduated from Newcastle Medical School in 2006. She completed her early medical training in the North-East and worked in Australia in Emergency Medicine, Rural Medicine, and Intensive Care. Lucy then trained in the South-West and earned a Master’s degree from University College London, focusing on imaging for prostate cancer diagnosis. A fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology since 2020, Lucy specialises in prostate cancer diagnostics and active surveillance, aiming to improve her local active surveillance programme and patient pathways. She is also passionate about surgical training, education, mentoring, and staff wellbeing.
