MacMillan Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist – Urology cancer and Prostate Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Vineetha came to the UK in 2004 after completing nursing and midwifery qualifications in Kerala, India. Starting as a senior healthcare assistant in Derbyshire, she joined Cambridge University Hospital’s urology team in 2005, progressing to Prostate Cancer Support Specialist Nurse, where she established nurse-led triaging and patient support groups. In 2015, she became the Macmillan Lead CNS, completed an MSc in Prostate Cancer Care, and now manages Urology CNSs, leads Peer Review, and oversees nurse-led services in urology cancers within the East Anglia Cancer Network.
