Professor Vincent Gnanapragasam

Professor of Urology at University of Cambridge and Honorary Consultant Urologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge

Professor Vincent Gnanapragasam is a Professor of Urology at the University of Cambridge and an Honorary Consultant Urologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He is also the Director of the Cambridge Urology Translational Research and Clinical Trials Office. His research spans basic science, translational medicine, and epidemiology, with notable discoveries in signalling pathways (SEF/SPRED) involved in prostate cancer. In recent years, he has focused on applying research insights directly into clinical practice to improve early diagnosis and treatment outcomes.

Professor Caroline Moore

Professor of Urology, Head of Urology at University College London (UCL) and NIHR Research Professor

Professor Caroline Moore is the first woman in the UK to be a Professor of Urology. She is Head of Urology at University College London (UCL), Honorary Consultant Urologist at University College Hospitals Trust and an NIHR Research Professor. She is a global leader in the use of MRI scanning for the detection and treatment of prostate cancer. Her work is centred on personalising the patient journey—from screening through to treatment—by integrating advanced imaging and evidence-based strategies into care pathways.

Andrew Seggie

Health Influencing Senior Officer- Earlier Diagnosis Lead at Prostate Cancer UK

Andrew Seggie is a Health Influencing Senior Officer and Earlier Diagnosis Lead at Prostate Cancer UK. With a BSc (Hons) from De Montfort University, Andrew has led numerous research initiatives over his eight years at the charity. Motivated by the loss of his father to metastatic prostate cancer, he has contributed to national policy with the 2019 Active Surveillance Best Practice Consensus and the 2024 Consensus on PSA testing in asymptomatic men. He currently oversees the Risk Checker product team and leads a strategic group working to drive earlier diagnosis through policy and practice change.
