Ms Jones begins by distinguishing between learning difficulties and disabilities, highlighting their distinct implications in healthcare. She explores the specific healthcare experiences of individuals with learning disabilities and cancer, addressing prevalent health inequalities within cancer treatment.

Participants will explore strategies for implementing reasonable adjustments to enhance healthcare accessibility and communication for individuals with learning disabilities. Ms Jones discusses practical approaches and best practices based on real-life scenarios, encouraging attendees to adapt these strategies to their own clinical settings.

This session includes a detailed case study illustrating challenges and effective practices in providing cancer care for individuals with learning disabilities. This example prompts reflections on overcoming barriers and fostering inclusive healthcare practices.
