Essentials for pharmacists: Further medical treatment

This module is focused on providing pharmacists with information on appropriate GP or specialist practitioner referrals. This module will also equip pharmacists with knowledge to assist men with prostate cancer with the symptoms and side effects of prostate cancer treatment.

When you have completed this module, you will:

• Encourage all men, especially those at high risk, to visit their GP/other relevant services or contact the Prostate Cancer UK helpline if they have any concerns about prostate cancer
• Have the knowledge and confidence to provide advice, information and support to men and their partners regarding the symptoms and side-effects of prostate cancer treatment.

Additional pharmacy staff may also find completing this module useful; however, please bear in mind that this is specifically focused on the pharmacists' needs.
